China MOFCOM announced on Wednesday afternoon that, China is to impose an additional 25% tariff on 106 products originated from US, including soybeans, vehicles, aircrafts, beef, chemicals, cigarettes, corn products, wheat, orange juice, cotton, whisky and etc..

The retaliatory measures comes after the USTR published a list of about 1,300 Chinese products it plans to hit with a 25% tariff.

The products targeted by the tariff measures were worth $50bn in 2017.

China alleged that the proposed Section 301 measures apparently violates the WTO rules, and would severely infringe the China's rights under WTO, and threaten China's economic interests and safety.

The final tariff measures and implementation date will be announced by MOFCOM later.
